Speaking seriously though, I do understand the need for the Nintendo Online sub and even the Pokemon Home sub.

I just don't think that Home should be priced like that. Bank on the 3ds only costs like $5 for one year, and you don't even need Nintendo Online to use it. Home should have really been like $10 at the most.

But even then, I would still have bought the whole thing if it wasn't compounded by the fact that they locked content behind a season pass.

Just everything added together didn't feel right to me so I didn't get it. I would rather not play a game at all than play a game knowing I'm getting a gimped/inferior version.

Wait, is the trading system there tied into servers or do the 3DS games still have local wireless trading? It just hit me that trading might be disabled when the servers go offline.

3ds still has local trading, but Nintendo has stated that they have no plans on shutting down the 3ds's servers anytime soon.
