Granted, speaking as a healer main in MMOs, I get the cynicism of people being smart enough to do anything worthwhile, but that is still not quite what I said - some miraculous effort to eliminate the illness. People notice patterns, people take actions when it affects their survival or comfort, and the first wave of Black Death versus the second is not much different. People took steps to reduce the impact. Then the cause of it was eventually contained. Herd immunity, by definition, is a theory at best regarding the Black Death, and what I am actually saying is just as likely. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
