| Perascamin 10/14/20 2:30:15 PM #30: | The drone strikes claimed the lives of thousands of bystanders. This was unfortunately unavoidable. It was either we use drones and destroy terrorists....or, the alternative was to: 1. Put boots on the ground for lengthy, dangerous, and expensive operations that may or may not successfully destroy/capture terrorist threats 2. Provide weapons and training to dissenters of ISIS/ISIL so that we wouldn't have to risk so many American lives and, hopefully, embolden the people of the Middle East to fight back against terrorists 3. Withdraw from the Middle East entirely and allow tyranny to take over and subject its people to genocide. There was no positive solution. Obama was still a good president in spite of these circumstances and improved the living conditions of the average American by providing health care to the poorest US Citizens and creating jobs. --- I've grown. ...
