I love that it starts out like a giallo or something, then evolves into a cheesy teen comedy, theme song and all, and then becomes the really gruesome slasher we know and "love". Wow, that's a solid entry to pop your slasher cherry. Yes! That opening song is so out of place, it's fantastic: https://youtu.be/KyVjIZU-jI8 The first time I saw it, I thought maybe it would play out more like a teen sex comedy.
