We're not talking about your everyday life. We're talking about Trump insisting on going into the White House instead of remaining isolated in a hospital and doing all of his duties from there/delegating what can't be done there to Pence. We're talking about Trump demanding that he be paraded around in front of his supporters, all but guaranteeing that the security staff involved will be infected. The odds of being infected during everyday life are irrelevant here (though would be high enough without precautions that using current infection rates to disparage the precautions that have kept them so low is terribly silly).

Which is precisely the point, as elaborated on in the part of the post you cropped out. Covid's death (or even serious illness) rate is low enough to be an acceptable risk for necessary activities. It's high enough, however, that taking unnecessary risks should be avoided, which is exactly the basis for every suggested precaution, as well as for saying that Trump should stay isolated in hospital until he's no longer contagious.
