We started this contest with one hundred girls, all vying to earn the title of Board 8's number 1 waifu. We had some shocking and heartbreaking eliminations along the way, but the final match-up came down to the long-time fan favorite, representing the sweeter, more demure style of princess waifus (erven though she has evolved in the past few decades to be much more kick ass in her own right): Princess Zelda. And her opponent, the newcomer to the field who managed to carve out a spot and overtake fellow kick-ass martial arts waifu Tifa Lockhart at the final three: Makoto Niijima. The final match-up was surprisingly close for what it was, with both girls tied at the midpoint of the finale. But ultimately, one girl pulled ahead, and by a score of 146 to 131, the winner of the first ever (rebooted) Save My Waifu Contest is...

That's right, Queen trumps Princess by fifteen votes!
