Depends on the generation you grew up in.

Early Gen-X'ers can appreciate what the Van Halen band brought to the music scene. And in context, they made some good party music to rock out at those tail-gate beach parties.....too bad as generations go by, their music is relegated to a Wal-Mart's PA system.

The saddest part about seeing rock legends pass on, is who do we have to 'replace' them in this current era of music? *Yes, no one can 'replace' Eddie personally, but who do we get to look forward to pushing music into the future? I mean, Eddie had skill with a real musical instrument.

Now what do we have? Some kid who can right-click the File tab on his auto-tune program, while mumbling "rap" lyrics about SJW-isms?
