I do it all the time. The only caveat is they shrink a great deal in diameter so you have to flatten out your burger so that it looks like a frisbee first. Then when you cook it in the oven it'll shrink to normal burger size / thickness.

I use a casserole tray to cook them so they stew in their own grease and don't dry out. Need about 29 minutes for a well done burger.
