Both practices, no matter what the dictionary definition is, have the same purpose: To cause physical pain and humiliation to the child. One happens to be a wider category of things than the other, but that really doesn't change the core fact that spanking a child is done with the express purpose to physically hurt and humiliate them. --- Stop being so aggressively argumentative for no reason. - UnfairRepresent ...
