Gotta say I kinda agree with CNN, here. This is a presidential debate. On a national stage. We're hoping to see someone emerge who can at least sound like and behave like a president, and get some idea of where their policies will take the country.

We already know Trump is a lying blowhard who mouths off constantly. Would've preferred it if Biden didn't let Trump get under his skin and was able to maintain his composure a little better. I think Trump is a giant piece of shit, but he's still the sitting president. Telling the president to shut up and calling him a clown shows a lack of decorum, even though Trump operates without decorum to begin with.
So he should just "be the better man" and settle for at most 5 seconds of uninterrupted speaking the entire debate as Trump continues to interject and insult him?
The fuck is your problem? Must be nice to have never dealt with a bully your entire life and think turning the other cheek actually gets them to behave.
I thought Biden had incredible restraint, too much. I can't even imagine spending an hour and a half trying to discuss complex issues with a man-baby interrupting me sometimes ten times in less than a minute! How composed would your thoughts and statements remain if every few seconds you had to abruptly stop and let Trump hurl lies and insults, then try to resume or shift to retorting what he just said, and...whoops! He just spoke up again! Oh well.

But I will say that I'm glad Biden stood up for himself and fired back. Just wish he chose his words a little more carefully. He should announce he'll only attend the next debate if Trump releases his taxes. We already know the next debate is going to be more of the same. May as well try to get something out of it.
That's stupid. Trump will just repeat the lie he can't release them, claim Biden "knows" this (again, a lie...the IRS flat out said the audit doesn't prevent him from publicly releasing them), and say Biden's a coward trying to dodge a 2nd debate. All it accomplishes is undercutting Biden, absolutely horrible advice.
