Honestly, nothing good can come of this debate. Either:

a) Biden acquits himself just fine, and nobody changes their opinion at all, or
b) Biden stumbles, and Trump's accusations of Biden being mentally unfit start to gain traction, or
c) Trump simply devolves the whole affair into "I'm rubber, you're glue" and proceeds to hurl insults the whole time, while everyone else watches him do it

In only one of those three cases will it even affect the outcome of the election. Everyone at this point is either for Trump or against Trump. Nobody is excited about both candidates and trying to choose who they like more. I would find it difficult to believe anyone dislikes both and doesn't find Trump more repugnant. There may be some disaffected Republicans who are trying to convince themselves to break with party lines, but that's really about it.
Well, it ended up being mostly a, and partly c. Next one should have stricter mic controls

Fox called it a tie so I'll take that

Trump refusing to condemn white supremacists was certainly a highlight

Trump telling his militia followers (ie proud boy types) to "stand by" was alarming

Biden accidentally saying green new deal once was the closest thing to a gaffe on his side

But yeah, regardless of who i thought looked strong, relatable, or rational, i think everyone watching the debate already knew who they were voting for

You did indeed stab me in the back. However, you are only level one, whilst I am level 50. That means I should remain uninjured.
