With my friends the deduction process is more like, "Okay, they said there were in this area after the oxygen went out, but this person was nearby and didn't see them run by, so let's agree they're kind of suspicious..." but here it's like "I was watching people at admin and this person said they completed a task in the engine room but they were only in there for 5 seconds when that task should take 8.5 seconds. Combining this with the fact that the task they said they did couldn't have been generated alongside the task they said they did earlier means we can positively identify them as the murderer with 100% certainty. Gg."

Gonna push back on this one, I don't think this is accurate to board 8 at all.

I watch a lot of streamer lobbies, since I think watching them is almost as fun as actually playing and I can do it while focusing on other things. There's always a bit of task meta when everybody has a lot of experience and knowledge, but there's only a few lobbies I've seen that reach even close to the level described here

Like here's an example of Summit getting mad about it from Train calling it out. Some players like Train relish in this kind of observation, but I don't think it's true for a lot of players or the only way to play the game.

I've complained about this kind of task meta a bit here already, so I find really fine details like Train pointed out to be too far.... but board 8 thankfully is really baby mode on that kind of thing so far. I think the most impactful task meta has been "i can confirm blue did the medbay scan before me, it told me" which is really basic >_>

I played with a different lobby even worse at it last night that had a lot of first and second time players, and when people tried to task meta they were usually just straight up wrong about it like saying "i saw you do wires and the task bar didn't go up!" when wires doesn't contribute to task bar until you do the last one. So there is traps in task meta. It was a fun lobby though. I got imposter in the first round and killed players in obscure enough locations that no meetings were called until I won the game. Fun lobby, gave me my first imposter win ^_^
