Keep doing what you can! Sometimes it's just a matter of having more darkness + keys to unlock mirror perks, which will cascade into more survability/healing/etc. More max hp, double dash, more lives -- these are all great! Like, the perk that gives you healing on darkness pickup makes your endgame life soooo much easier. Between the boss dropping darkness and the fountain, you're healed up to max inbetween each area. Same as if you run into a darkness trove, or even just buy darkness in a Charon well. One of the very late mirror perks will cause less keys/darkness/jewels to spawn in favor of more gods/gold, which favors completing various runs more than "building up" your base. --- Remember that I won't rest, 'til we share the same tense Just know, to me, you're better late than never again. ...
