Setting up the client update on the emulator was pretty smooth but I ran into hiccups when setting it up on the phone for playing on the go. The first time it happened, I tried rebooting the app but it got stuck again, the second time it happened, I did a cache clear but it got stuck at 0%. After rebooting the app again after that, it re-downloaded everything as normal, installed, and I was good to go. If any of you are having the problem of a stuck update process, maybe try what I did and see if that fixes it?

Regarding the new HOC on the older servers, it's an ATW HOC like BGM but has a range of 3. The downside for the added range and good skills is a lower Pierce stat but it should be much more flexible against Paradeus mooks and demolishing map infrastructure. The speculation is that it makes AGS-30 obsolete but needs to be field tested to confirm that.

Here's a translation of the three skills -
Skill 1
When attacking a new target, fire an extra shot which has 100% damage and shield break of normal attacks.
Skill 2
Before every normal attack, fire a test round using the spotting rifle, dealing 1x damage to the target and reducing their evasion by 20% for 6 seconds (up to 3 stacks).
If the test round hits, the splash damage from the normal attack won't miss.
Skill 3
When dealing shield break damage, increase damage taken by the target by 15% for 8 seconds.
If shield break damage from self breaks the target's force shield, stun the target for 2 seconds and deal an additional 0.8x damage.

What makes her first skill good is that ATW HOCs prioritize the enemy with the highest shield, so against multiple enemies with high shield, she should be switching targets frequently for a while, which procs skill 1 each time. I think the other skills speak for themselves.

The best way to avoid imitation is to make that imitation take effort. If imitators liked hard work, then they wouldn't be imitators.
