They were the ones that gave the okay for it to be released on Switch. And I think Banjo & Kazooie getting into Smash says something about how much friendlier Microsoft is than Sony. As does the B&K and Viva Pinata games for GBA and DS. As in, Rare still made some games for Nintendo systems AFTER getting bought out by Microsoft.
