It kinda sounds like progressive "soft" rock if that's a thing (oh no is this the PROG ROCK BLOCK??). There's a lot of cool variety in all of the instruments used here. But yeah, the rating being the same as the last few songs doesn't really reflect this, but I feel like this is another point where the songs take a real upward spike in quality!! also BIRD SONG (hi Dire) #48 Madoka Magica the Movie Part 1: Beginnings - Decretum Rating: 7.2/10 Have I heard this before?: Yes Nominator: @NowItsAngeTime (1/5) Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzDjPE9mkIo Whenever I think to myself "huh what anime has the best soundtrack ever?" my mind instantly jumps to Madoka Magica (and also Clannad). Sayaka's theme is one of those songs where I'm always hearing something else somewhere else that sounds a lot like it (hi anime medieval tavern music), then I am reminded of it, so from its soundtrack it has always in particular stuck out for that dumb little reason. Anyways, movie version of this is more somber and has dramatic vocals fitting for the big screen.
