For instance, I'd say grabbing in Jump Showdown is less egregious, since it doesn't go against the natural win condition since it's naturally something you can do between jumps. Doing stuff like stopping to block people on Slime Climb or push them off the end is going directly against the win condition, though, since the whole point is... It's a race, so stopping and turning around is counter to what you're intended to be doing.
