I think it's doable, but there is a chance someone could get hurt.you can cover the hole in the ceiling with whatever, jerry-rigged trash bags are fine. you're just using it as a dust guard after all. but if water is still leaking from your roof and pooling there you're going to have issues. so either get some buckets, and be prepared to dump them if the leak is fast/heavy, or try tarping the roof until the landlord can come out and fix it. --- Taarsidath-an halsaam.
