This is a problem that has found its roots in godless sects and unfortunately those heathen practices have seeped on occasion into the faith due to there being a lack of firmness when it comes to upholding belief systems. The Bible does not support such atrocities. Children must be protected and nurtured, not exploited and abused. The act of baptism is the first step to ensuring they will be under the eyes of God at all times.
