This is the doctrine preached by the Church of Satan and other heretics that see themselves as "above all else." Humility and obedience to Our Lord (and He is OUR Lord, despite what your Slayer albums tell you) are the makings of a modest man with a genuine goodness to his heart.

To call yourself god is to think yourself above all others, both lamb and man. Not all are god, as that directly leads to falsehood. We are created in God's image, yet we retain flaws and shortcomings to remind us that though he has blessed us as higher beings we still must endure the trials and tribulations He has set on our path.

To abandon God, abandons hope and makes you lost.
