Mind if I hijack with one?

Meet the antechinus. He may look pretty rodentish, but hes actually a marsupial - far more closely related to a kangaroo than a rat or a mouse.

Theyre mainly insectivores, but theyll make an exception for some things.

Males only live for one mating season, which usually occurs between July and September - their testerosterone ramps up and their entire existence revolves around having sex as many times as possible before they die, their bodies basically just giving out.
