The fact that the good cops are so few and far between that digging is required to find them is essentially a confirmation of the intent behind someone saying all cops are bad and what you're doing is obstinately arguing the semantics of that exact phrase while shitting your pants and crying.

That's the thing, though. Your base premise is wrong because you actively choose to ignore reality. The digging comes in trying to come up with enough evidence that "all cops are bad."

Over 50 million people have an encounter with a police officer every year

A thousand people are killed by cops every year, roughly half of them armed

So even if you assume literally every single police shooting is unjustified, that's 0.002% of police encounters. But that's all you hear about. Even the odds of being killed while black while unarmed in a police encounter is something incredibly small. 99.998% of all police encounters happen without anyone getting shot or killed.

The vast, vast majority of police interactions that happen daily go on without incident, but because you don't hear about them, you don't think about them. Instead, you hear about the dozens of cases that make the news, all negative, and extrapolate from there.

I absolutely believe we need police reforms, and I absolutely think cops that do kill someone should face proper, unbiased judgement, but this recent movement to try and claim the entire structure is rotten is born entirely from an ignorance (willing or otherwise) to the basic, factual reality.

So if you want to really claim that people have to "dig" to find good cops, consider that you're taking a fraction of a fraction of situations and making the case that it represents the whole.
