If youre into comics and like Britpop, check out Phonogram by Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie- Luke Haines is basically referred to as a God in that. I absolutely love Black Box Recorder! Sarah Nixeys voice and Luke Haines song writing is exquisite! That was actually going to be my next rec if you liked the Auteurs. I got into them completely by accident when I was about 20 through a Bowie cover and have loved them ever since. Sarah Nixeys solo stuff is a bit stale (though I love her Human League cover). --- Boredom is always counter-revolutionary. The only referent which still functions is that of the silent majority. ...
