| Grimlyn 08/14/20 5:47:13 PM #449: | Tales of Destiny beated Thoughts remain from the half-way, main cast is more developed but the overall story is kinda eh, mainly since the baddies really don't have the same development the cast does. Kinda the reverse of Phantasia. That being said... I think I prefer Phantasia. While Destiny does a lot better in gameplay and characterization of the main cast... it's not like they're made to be particularly great anyways. Actually disappointed in Leon's arc what with how he's always topped the character polls along with Yuri. He can be a charming tsun but the spoilers don't really have a convincing reasoning to me and it's kinda just weird. Then of course the side-characters are very much side characters. So I think I'm more attached to Phantasia's advantageous plot/villain/adventure than Destiny's better cast. Looking at the arcs of the games I just definitely prefer Phantasia. now to figure out if I move up to Tales of Eternia or continue to Tales of Destiny 2 first......
