The words "homosexual" and "homosexuality" didn't exist in the bible in any translation until as recently as the 1940s or so. Sodom and Gomorrah's sins were never also never specifically mentioned to be homosexuality in the Old Testament. Then Christians will argue sex out of wedlock. The word "fornication" in the New Testament, which by today's standard is taken to mean sex out of wedlock, the Greek word porneia from which fornication translated actually referred to sexual immorality.
