Near the end of the second Pirates of the Carribean movie, after having escaped the island where Davy Jones' heart is buried, Jack Sparrow and his lot flee to the Black Pearl, only for them to be besieged by the Kraken. Sometime during the attack, Elizabeth sees Jack abandoning ship using his rowboat. Later on, the latter returns to the Black Pearl to help fend off the beast. But at the battle's conclusion, Elizabeth kisses Jack in order to chain the latter to the ship, insisting that "he is the one that the Kraken is truly after". This, to me, is very puzzling. Elizabeth had already seen Jack rowing his boat some distance away, while the Kraken was busy destroying the Pearl and throroughly ignoring its captain. Yet, she still seems to think that the Kraken is after Jack. Why is this so?
it can obviously see the future and knew of his inevitable destination, give the kraken some credit, ok?
