Im trying to defend him by acknowledging the disease that gets a lot of people. My best friends mom died from it last year. And their relationship was strained from the beginning from it. im sorry. thats horrible. i hope theyre doing alright now, the guilt that comes from that is intense. As someone with his own addiction battles, I know it's not as easy as "just don't do it anymore".
