So say the unit you have gets stats in the order of HP > Atk > Spd > Def > Res. The first 2 stats from Dragonflowers go to HP and Atk. Now you merge that unit it a different unit with different boons and banes. The new order is HP > Spd > Atk > Def > Res. The unit still gets 2 stat points from Dragonflowers but they are now in HP and Spd. --- My bracket looked like random picks compared to his.
