Read the research. Masks (real, fitted, filter masks; not cutesy cloth nose scarves) are at best, 3% effective. In March, CDC and WHO were recommending against masks for the general public. Now, for lack of anything more effective, masks are a political token. Social distance, maybe, but does little for airborne infection. Isolation? Sure, but you still need to buy food, maintain an income, take care of business. Sure, I wear a cute patterned nose scarf as a social gesture, maintain 6' distance, but I don't fool myself that it's actually meaningful. I stay away from crowds, and limit my shopping and social interaction, that's somewhat realistic. --- If ballet was easy, it would be pointe-less ... Copied to Clipboard! |
