Maybe try skipping part 1? I enjoyed it but it's pretty bland compared to the later parts. Part 2 starts on episode 10 (I think?), and it introduces one of the best anime protagonists around.

Yeah I watched the first few episodes, and some friends recommended I move along to parts 2 and 3. I tried watching those, too, but I gutted they just seem too silly for me. I like over-the-top anime, but the characters and their designs dont seem interesting.

i also think the color swaps are confusing and a bit annoying tbh
