Add in the fact that they're closer to the playoffs and could exclude some teams, and you're looking at about 36 games per week they have to play. MLB teams, meanwhile, are just starting a regular season during which they typically will play 6 games per week. 90 games per week. It'd be hard to find a locale with the number of MLB quality fields required to make that feasible.
