My memory of yesterday isn't good enough for as detailed an analysis for.. Reasons.

The Predators look like they're the better team when they're in focus. They totally lost their composure after that fluke goal and a series of stupidity out then down 3. While it was too little too late, they were the better team both at the start and at the end. I think they can build on that.

Boston was sleepwalking at times in their game and Philly had no issues taking advantage. Bruins need to play with a lot more urgency than that. I missed a fair amount of this game, but what I did see looked like a Bruins team that barely seemed to care at times. I saw alligator arming at pucks. That's not something you should see in the regular season much less here.

Aside from the Blues simply not showing up in the first, this game seemed fine. I missed a significant amount of it though.

The Maple Leafs didn't play badly, they just didn't score. There was a whole lotta neutral ice action in the third and they had a lot of issues pushing through. Due to TV issues, I had no access to this game until late in the second.

Frustrating game for Vancouver. They didn't play well in the first, but held on enough to only be down 1-0. Played much better in the second, but went down 2-0. The 3rd was a defensive slog and the struggled to generate offense, and lost 3-0. This is a very young team like the Rangers, who showed it early and showed flashes of it throughout the game. Vancouver's confidence will boost if they can just get a goal in game 2. If the second period was any indication, Vancouver is meaningfully better when everything clicks.
