| Topic | The min wage job I work offered me a tiny promotion. Having trouble accepting. |

I didn't expect to work retail for this long, and last time I was offered the promotion I declined for a few reasons: 1. I'm supposed to be a teacher. And this was supposed to be a job to hold me over until I got on the supply list. 2. I'm very bad at counting money and didn't want to screw it up for my manager (who I like and respect). But now it's been half a year and I'm still working there. No closer to being on the supply list, plus the store doesn't handle cash anymore because of the pandemic, so the job after promotion would be a lot easier. I'm just so scared that if I take this promotion, I'll get too comfy and won't ever quit to get a real job. This is like the epitome of blogfaqs and first world problems, and I've more or less decided on taking the promotion.
