Unbridled9 posted... I do want to point out that I'm not against the idea of mail-in ballots. I recognize a lot of people can't make it in for one reason or another and such a thing may be the only viable option. What I'm opposed to is making it such a major aspect of the election without even bothering to address the most basic issues of security involved in such a thing. This is why the democrats erk me so much. We had this huge and massive attempt to impeach Trump because they were convinced, utterly convinced, he was an agent of Russia and China has every reason to want to interfere with the election to get a more favorable candidate in; yet they constantly dig in their heels and refuse to enact the most basic forms of security (requiring I.D.) and advocate for a system that is not only stupidly easy to cheat using but then do so in a time when we have a hyper-polarized political landscape? A time where everyone on both sides has every reason to cheat simply due to the massive amounts of hate present right now? And why again? Because they are afraid that they might catch covid if they handle stuff normally. They're literally leveraging fear as their only argument for mail-in voting while, at the same time, parading out in the streets in massive protests and riots that ignore social distancing entirely and a sizable portion don't wear masks. It's difficult to see how they could be more hypocritical here. Champion mail in voting because you don't want to catch the virus, but go out and join in the riots which ignore even the basic safety measures to stop it! Trump colluded with Russia, let's ignore even basic security and enact a method that's extremely easy to cheat with!
