Bad form, you cite barriers to entry as an argument then suggest some of your own for the alternative.

Not taking a side, just pointing it out

I'm looking at both sides of the argument. The barriers were proposed by Unbridled9 here,

You mean besides the fact that it's stupidly insecure? I mean, a few months ago we had someone stealing our mail for money. Imagine if they did that, saw the ballot, and then filled it out the way they wanted and sent it in. All I could do would be complain that I didn't get to vote but there'd be no way to do anything about it. Nevermind if a mailworker got malicious, a delay happened due to literally everyone in the nation sending in mail, or people singling out voters because now their ballots can be traced back to their home.

All good counterpoints, except the first one. You can replace your mailbox with one more secure, like one with a lock and key. Sucks, but it's a solution that most people are already doing.

The other counterpoints are issues outside of the voter's control. Yes, delivering your ballot or voting in person would resolve it, but not everyone has that luxury.
