The game ramped up a huge amount, and had a large variety of encounters (even if the enemies were mostly humanoid). The ~~The plant monster~~ and the ~~Giant fight in the helicopter~~ were pretty badass. I loved the variety of the weapons, and all the separate abilities of each gun. I actually used all the guns (except for one, which I just didn't like) throughout the entire game.
