At a grocery store a moment ago, I was heading over to grab some eggs, but there was an employee and a large case blocking the whole area as he was restocking. I was going to ask him to move for a moment, but just then he looked at my shirt (from a local anime convention) and asked me if I was upset as he was about it being canceled this year.

We got to rapping for a minute or two, and eventually he said he should get back to work and it was nice talking to me. I felt like it would be awkward telling him to move after all that, so I just parted ways, planning to just return after I got everything else I needed. But shortly after I began to walk away, I heard something fall; I glanced back and sew that he had dropped a carton of eggs. Not wanting him to be embarrassed, I pretended to never have noticed and kept walking.

So, several minutes later, I made my way back to the eggs and saw, from a distance, that the area was now empty aside from two safety cones surrounding the spill. The coast was clear as I sped over - and was beaten to the punch by the very same employee, with mop in hand to clean up the mess he made.

Maybe I'll get eggs tomorrow.
