When my first cat, Tails (yes named after the Sonic character, as me and my brother picked the name lol), passed away, the night before she died she was a purr machine. She snuggled with everyone and purred like hell. She had diabetes and a UTI. As a cat that was 10+ years old it was pretty clear she was gonna pass soon and it was sad. But I'm so glad we got to give her the happy life she had. She was abandoned as a kitten and my dad ended up saving her life after an employee of his left her to stay at his office for a whole weekend as he found out he couldn't keep a kitten. So instead of letting the cat die my dad actually let us keep her. He was 100% a 'no pet' kinda dude, but he fell in love with her too. Cats are great.
