I guess the insiders knew about the Direct because it was a Partner showcase from the aforementioned partners and assumed it was gonna be a normal one.

But what the hell is going on with that Mario Anniversary collection. I think it's becoming more and more obvious that Nintendo hasn't really figured out the whole work from home thing. I think at most that's their only other first party stuff for this year now.

Then again if the Mario collection is outsourced it could still be announced here I suppose. Bayonetta 3 is also possible.
They told investors that the pandemic hasnt been affecting workflow too much. The issue is that E3 didnt force them to nail down their news flow to a single date.

Also Sony and MS are in different spots than MS. TLoU and Ghost of Tsushima were close to being finished around pandemic start. If youre using those games as benchmarks, remember at one point that TLoU was on indefinite hold.

Pumping out next gen consoles in a factory is what theyre going to be doing and thats more pandemic proof if anything.

We only know whats publicly available though. I really do hope theres more major games this year for Switch.
