Kylo and Vader both ghosted their father figures like it was nothing and then had changes of heart about the main character because of bloodline reasons. It's the same thing.

Vader didn't have a father , his father figure was Qui-gon more than its was Obi-wan .

Kylo had a father , not that they ever show us any previous feelings Kylo had for Han ; be they love , hate , rejection , disappointment , or abandonment.

When does Kylo learn of Rey's bloodline and where does that impact my point that he had no reason not to kill her that first encounter when he should clearly outclass her despite his injury?

Haven't seen the 3rd movie , after the first two I didn't hate Rey , I just didn't care.

If I've reached that point where if I'm no longer part of the target audience , I'll move on to other enjoyable ways I can spend my time .
