About to ask a stupid question, but am asking in good faith.
Are Eastern Asians (like Japan, China, Korea) considered people of color? I understand they're called "yellow" sometimes, but their overall tone can be even lighter than white people's. Also, there are plenty of southerners called red necks, who quite literally have a reddish tint to their skin that makes them darker than East Asians. However, they're still considered white despite their reddish tint.
Edit: Asking because Asuka is in that picture, and her skin tone is quite light. While I would never considered her white, I'm wondering if she's considered a person of color.
They are called rednecks because of the sunburn on the back of their necks.....I thought this was known....
