Topic	My dad was a parole officer. His stories make me so sad.

Yeah, maybe he realized he'd be up for murder if the guy died as a direct result of the robbery, so he saved the dude's life. Maybe he draws the line at somebody dying as a result of his extreme criminal behavior. Doesn't matter. He's a criminal who deserves to be in prison.
