No, he said the general public doesn't need to wear masks because the in early march of coming into contact with someone who had COVID-19 was relatively low. We had very few COVID-19 cases back then, especially compared to now. He said healthcare workers are dealing with COVID-19 workers coming to the hospital for treatment needed the masks the most because they were 100% going to be coming into contact with them. We had an extreme PPE shortage at the time and he was trying to get people to stop hoarding PPE so that healthcare workers would have enough supply. He's saying the general public needs to wear masks now because we have over 3 million total COVID-19 cases since late January and your chances of coming in contact with someone who is infected is much higher now. --- ...
