Personally, I find they are overpriced right now, because they are new. ASrock boards are typically the lower end budget build boards, but their b550 is $150 USD. That's at least $40 above what b450 is.

If you're not interested in 3rd gen Ryzen (4000 series), then there's nothing wrong with a b450 board. Stock may never recover though, because board manufacturers are strongly incentivised to push new hardware over old. B550 is still cheaper than X570, but the difference in feature suites between the two platforms isn't worth paying more for B550, when you can get an X570 board with more features and better power delivery for just a little bit more.
So the x570 doesnt have these issues? I dont know shit about motherboards. If a b550 is a hassle, I dont need it.
