If you want to be the best and better than everyone as soon as you load the game then yah sure youll need to pay. $20 would make your my player high 80s if not low 90s and will get you plenty of coins left over for packs in My Team or whatever Shotgunnova posted... you get the "Cheesy" perk. Or, if you have a wipeout slider, you get the "Knee Buckler" perk Exactly. My center has a little bonus on breakout passes. He doesnt get as fatigued as much from physical dunks and being physical around the rim. Theres a few more.
