As is I think Mario 1 vs Zelda 1 is pretty interesting. azuarc posted... Sad that Mario 2 is a top seed in its division. Shows how bad an 80's bracket would be. Not like it's the weakest 1 seed here! It would handle Donkey Kong or Pac-Man no problem, and there's a few others I'm not sure about. Then again you seem to think it'd lose to Double Dragon which is crazy. SMB2 would win that match going away back when all these games were new (source: sales, general representation in gaming magazines and the likes, and my own admittedly anecdotal memories of the time), and Mario has stayed more relevant than Double Dragon, to put it mildly.
