Things were cooled down a little because of the shut down, the talk about living with it needed to happen then. Maybe if Trump and his cronies gave a clear message on social distancing and masks then maybe things would be better now? Maybe if Trump encouraged his followers then, we wouldn't have old white fat people screaming about masks being communism. Hell Trump could have discreetly made a buck off of them by selling MAGA masks. This isn't going away just because we want it to, even in countries that have it under control there is still and effort to keep things safe. Europe isn't back to normal, they've opened up but they're taking the right measures to go along with opening up. Maybe if we had real leadership, someone with a concise message we wouldn't be caught with our pants around our ankles for the second time in 6 months. Think about it. Imagine where we would be if he led by example and encouraged safe practices. The left would listen to the science and the right would listen to their idol. Instead he ignored the safety measures and let the governors handle it so he can go golfing, and now the crazy people on the right side are now convinced Trump is only saying they need to wear masks because he was forced to, which means they won't do it now even with him saying they should.
