In terms of influence alone, he is probably the most influential promo of two generations. The problem is this almost entirely a negative thing. His plodding slow pace scripted sounding promos took over. Suddenly the ability to anchor a 30 minute promo segment became the key to main eventing in WWE to its incredible detriment. Trips is working off that karmic debt in NXT but blah.
