Freakazoid - Xeybozn https://youtu.be/sUURjSpQt7s Unique: 3.5 Story: 1.75 Music: 4.75 Animation: 4.75 Personal: 3.75 Average: 3.7 Watching this intro about a superhero thats going for a weird and funny vibe, I cant help but think I would have preferred to see a nomination for The Tick. While theres probably even less story in the intro to The Tick, it doesnt even pretend to care if you get it and goes all in on being odd, whereas the intro to Freakazoid feels like its trying too hard to sell you on the hero being weird, while actually being very safe. Thats not to say this is a bad intro. But its nowhere near as unique as its trying to be. Despite showing random things like a shot of a chimpanzee or having Freakazoid talking to Sigmund Freud, its a mostly conventional sequence composed of silly clips and a shallow backstory thrown in the middle. The theme song and animation are okay, nothing special. And I dont really have more to add about this one, its just kind of there. --- I don't want to alarm you, but there may be a boogeyman or boogeymen in the house ... Copied to Clipboard! |
