They got Ray Manzarek to produce and play keyboards on their first few albums because he read a review of an X show in the newspaper where they were called trash and he just had to see what they were all about. That is pretty impressive, but his keyboard really stands out. I've never had a problem with the vocals, but I tend to take a lot of things as they come like that. The one NoMeansNo album I really liked was Wrong.
